TRAVEL
bloodycat.
since i'm 18 now and officially allowed to have my own ebay account i stupidly spend a lot of time there, not very good for my wallet, but sometimes you find really surprising things while browsing ebay - bloodycat.co.kr - a korean online store for strange and insane stuff, most of it is really freaky, but all the american-flag items, like denim jackets, trousers or shorts are absolutely awesome - too bad that the website is full of those cute little korean signs so you don't understand anything.. what a luck that some of the stuff is also available on ebay - or i could make such a flagged denim vest myself since i'm going to visit a flea market in munich tomorrow, maybe i'll find a vintage denim jacket there - anyway you should check out the shop!

SHOPPING
i'm back.
here i am. back from an unbelievably wonderful trip with some of the funniest and cutest gilrs you're ever gonna meet. i'm as relaxed as i've never been, because of doning nothing for 10 days besides swimming and lying in the sun. i shoot nearly 4 rolls with my holga and i'm extremely inspired by the wonderful italian nature and i can't wait to finally do something, my fingers can't keep quiet anymore - so there's a lot waiting for you!
excuse me for posting this, but i had to suffer a kind of fringe-detoxication while not being at home.. and this is one of the most hilarious moments in whole season three!
inspiration.
i'm bored to death, so i decided to tell you a little bit about my sources of inspiration, inspiring things, people.. in general i have to say that most of my inspration either comes from the web, especially weheartit.com, or from the streets. so the following list is about the most inspiring -
TIME: SECONDS BEFORE YOU'RE FALLING ASLEEP / WHILE DREAMING
LOCATION: FESTIVAL
PERSON / REAL LIFE: DIFFICULT
i think there are many people i know, that in some way inspire me,but some are special. first one is my dad, who made a trip around the world when he was young, he visited asia, thailand, vietnam and i think china, africa, egypt, he saw so many things and he often tells stories and really, with every story i want to do it exactly like he did, take a year off to see the world, all the expiriences, all those people and cultures - travelling is maybe the most inspiring thing - the world is a book and those who do not travel only read one page.
next is my art teacher at school for seeing things in me i didn't even know myself and for her unbelievable tips about drawing, being creative, developing ideas - she inspired me to try to forget about my perfectionism and that's maybe the best thing that could ever happen to me! and last there's my best friend. she's the only one who really understands me and one look into her eyes or talking to her about random things inspires as much as hanging around here or at weheartit for a whole day.
PERSON / CELEBRITIES: THE OLSEN TWINS
QUOTE: REAL IS JUST A MATTER OF PERCEPTION
it's the most inspiring quote because it's true. you can never tell what's real and what's not, who says that even this here is real? i love it, because everytime i hear or read it or i think of it i think about reality, i start thinking about if everything around me is real or if it's just a figure of my imagination, if dreams are part of reality, what a deja vĂș really means, if there could be a parallel universe, an alternate reality.. strange things, so it isn't surprising that this quote is from fringe isn't it? well, actually fringe is the most inspiring tv show i've ever seen - endless possibilities.
THING: CRYSTALS
WEBSITE: WEHEARTIT.COM / LOOKBOOK.NU
my greatest source of photo inspiration comes from weheartit.com, they got nearly every photo on the worldwideweb there, you can just save it on your heart with one click and i love spending an hour or two there, just clicking through the photos, collecting inspiration in fashion, lifestyle and art. for more fashion inspiration i need lookbook.nu, where real people from all around the world share their newest looks and every day i login there i'll get a new idea, what i could wear or how i could change my style, to improve it or what i could DIY next.

mr skeleton.
skeletons - on tights, shirts, sweaters, doesn't matter - are beautiful and very inspiring. everyone knows the wildofx skeleton jumper, i'd really give everything to have one of them. but you also often see skeleton inspired cut-outs on tees or sweaters, skulls or ribs, and it is very easy to do it yourself, there are plenty of tutorails on youtube, also the skeleton tights, i got inspired by KAYLA , she just painted the bones on plain tights with some permanent marker, that's like the easiest thing ever, and it's also super cheap. well, i know what my next DIY-project is - skeletons everywhere!

5 mm
YAY! i finally streched my ear up to 5mm - half of the way is done - and it still looks much too tiny. the tunnel i'm wearing is from that market in rome i told you once about, it's a double flared one but you can screw it in the middle - without this i wouldn't have gotten it into my ear.. that's one of the best inventions ever! i love the double flared tunnels, they haven't got such a thick border in the front and back so your hole looks bigger - but you don't get them into your ear that easily.. so screw-double-flared is perfect!

mishka NYC
after two days at my friend's with a lot of movies, food and awesome moments i came home again today, and while waiting for my bus i went into a little store and in a magazine i read about a brand named MISHKA - now i checked out the online store and they've got absolutely wonderful things there - unfortunately only for men.. i love their eyeball theme, it's a bit disgusting maybe, but i would instantly fall in love with every guy wearing mishka. and: three days to freedom.DIY - ripped denim zebra shorts.
as i was tidying up my room and my closet today i found this old skirt, i really don't wear it anymore, but i liked the cloth, so i decided to use it for my ripped denim shorts i made a while ago. actually recycling old clothes is like the best thing you could ever do: you save money and at the same time you save the planet. whenever you reuse clothes i recommend to rip the seams to have the most possible amount of cloth, like you can see in the second picture. but if you're as lazy as i am, you could just cut near the seam - picture 3 - and you'll also get a lot of cloth. right underneath you'll find a tutorial how to use recycled cloth to pimp some shorts.
the pockets:
1 cut a piece of cloth, always leave about an inch more than the actual area is
2 turn the fringed ends of the cloth to the inside and take some pins to hold the whole thing in place. it takes a little time to get this right but it is important to work very exact to avoid spots where you can see the denim
3 sew it. if you're skilled you can also use a sewing machine for it, but i'm not and you have to pay attention not to also sew the back of your shorts to the pockets!
the shorts:
important: turn over your shorts before starting!
1 again: cut a pice of cloth, about an inch larger than the actual area
2 use some pins to hold the cloth in place, you don't need to turn the fringe because you're working on the back of your shorts. you should also put the cloth under the pockets to hide the white cloth!
3 start sewing. VERY IMPORTANT: the front of the shorts should look good so you need to turn the shorts back and sew right where the seams are so that you don't see any new seams! it is a little bit complicated and you sould always turn back to control if the cloth is still in the right place! and again, if you're very skilled you can also use the sewing machine.
4 this is how the left side looks like after finishing.
5 the shorts after having revised step 1-3 on the right side.
