it's the end of the year, today in about 13h and looking back on 2011 i had an awesome spring and summer, with lots of travelling and even though the weather sucked so much, we made the best of it and had beautiful holidays. when autumn and finally winter arrived everything got kinda bad, i had lot's of trouble and all i hope for 2012 is that i won't do the same mistakes again and i really hope we'll have a lot of sunshine in the summer next year, since i won't be able to travel that much.. sadly. i know, new years resolutions are stupid, and i have only one, wich is to get that fucking university place to study product/industrial design - and i need to work a lot, draw a lot and successfully participate on qualifying examinations, to make this dream come true finally. i also wanted to thank you, all my lovely readers, for that great support in 2011, you're so sweet! ♥ ♥ ♥ and hopefully you're gonna have a wonderful 2012 and a beautiful new years eve, with all the people you love around! HAPPY NEW YEAR. ♥
the galaxy sweater
i could die over the awesomeness of that sweater - finally i ordered it on ebay and i can't wait to recieve the package, wich is in about 2 or 3 weeks.. sadly.
i'm not insane! - well, i am.
christmas is over, i feel like a walrus - because i ate too much and became fat and sluggish - but i'm enjoying FRINGE BINGE right now, a worldwide synchronous marathon to watch fringe from the first episode of season one and that takes at least three days to complete to the last one shown on tv, wich is season four already acually. i'm not insane, i won't watch all day long, but i love to take part in the evening, right now we're at episode six of season one. who else got a crush on fringe?

lomography
some random photos i took in the last months using my HOLGA.. i got the film developed last week and yesterday i picked it up and i have to say that really many photos got surprisingly absolutely nice, these three are my favourite ones. so if you wonder what this strange white thing is the girls are drinking, it's 'schneemaß', a mix of vanilla ice cream, lemon soda and liquor - i would translate 'pint of snow' because it looks like liquid snow actually - and tastes fucking weird - no, it's disgusting. well, i prefer hot wine punch as a drink for winter and lately i discovered my fondness for tea - yum.
well, today's christmas. what a pitty all the snow we had the day before yesterday is gone.. i would have really liked a white christmas after we've been having none for years around here.. never the less i hope you enjoy this wonderful day and get a lot of beautiful presents! ♥ ♥
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

DIY cotton bag
you wouldn't believe it but i actually learned to use a sewing machine and my first project were those cotton bags wich i sewed out of some white cloth i bought some time ago. the two bags on the photo are presents but i've got a third left, i just don't know yet what to paint on it.. either some quote or something related to this blog, some pink brain - maybe both combined - or i just paint the two sides in different ways and use the one that goes better with the outfit i'm wearing, don't know.. but: cotton bags are lovely. ♥

amethyst sparkles
i really had an amusing weekend, the girls and i made a small trip by train, visiting a wonderful and snuggish city (regensburg, for all the german readers..) and it's christmas market.. of course we also checked out some of the stores there and i finally found a pair of corduroy pants on sale at h&m - they were just 10€ so i had to get them! and i also bought this absolutely beautiful amethyst pendant, wich i really love and i can't wait to put it on a necklace.. so it was a very nice evening, we drank lot's of hot wine punch, ate christmas cookies and other delicious things they sold on the market and i really love train trips with my girls anyway, we did at least three of them this year, we went to rome, lake garda and now we started doing small city trips - wonderful! i can't do anything, but it always gives me that kind of harry-potter-feeling..
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 50 READERS! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, REALLY, I LOVE YOU! ♥ ♥ ♥
DIY recycled plastic bag pouch
looking for some inspiration for future DIY projects - especially xmas present DIYs - i found a pretty awesome tutorial online at instructables.com and i thought i'd really have to share it, it's cheap and actually so unbelievably benefitial for our environment - a cute little pouch, made from old plastic or potato chips bags.
here's what you need: 1 a emty candy, shopping, potato chip or just any plastic bag you like (you might need two if you want to use the more beautiful sides..) 2 two transparent pieces of plastic in the size of your plastic bags (you can simply cut one of those foils where you can put sheets of paper in to protect them) 3 two pieces of fabric, slightly bigger than the plastic bags 4 a zipper 5 a needle and yarn or a sewing machine 6 some scissors, pencil, ruler
1 place the zipper (right side up) on the fabric (right side up)
2 place the foil and then the first half/piece of the plastic bag (wrong side up) on the fabric and zipper and sew right where the pink line is (fabric, zipper, foil and plastic bag should be sewn together)
3 flap the foil and plastic bag to the top and sew where the pink line is, nearby the actual zipper.
4 put the second piece of fabric under the part you just finished (foil, plastic bag and fabric of the first side should be on one side of the zipper, the new fabric should be right side up, just as the zipper)
5 revise step 2: place the foil and plastic bag (wrong side up) and sew everything together right where the pink line is
6 revise step 3: flap foil and plastic bag and sew where the pink line is drawn
7 put the fabric and plastic (bag+foil) sewn to the left side of the zipper to the left and the fabric and plastic (bag+foil) sewn to the right side of the zipper to the right and open the zipper
8 flap the plastic parts to the one and the fabric parts to the other side, make sure that the to sides of the open zipper are in line and sew where the pink line is. leave a little bit of space to turn your bag and cut the unnecessary fabric and plastic around your seam after sewing
9 turn your bag to the right side (be patient! you don't want to ruin your work!) and sew the hole in the fabric right where the pink dots are. push the fabric to the inside of your pouch and YOU'RE DONE!might seem a little bit complicated, but i promise you, while making the pouch every step is going to be very clear and i actually made two of them already and they're in fact easier than you might think from the first view.. try it and - as a tiny side effect - you'll be saving our wonderful planet.

the shorts
you might remember my dyed denim shorts i've been talking a lot about recently, and now i decided to customize them a little bit more by studding the inside of one back pocket with some golden round studs.. to do that i first ripped the left side of the pocket with the seam ripper and just flapped it to the other side.. i sewed it right where the original seam of the left side was to keep it in place.
after that i started studding.. it took me about 150 of the 8mm studs and several hours to finish it, but i think it looks totally awesome! i first wanted to use my spray painted gold pyramid studs but it turned out that the colour is easily crumbling off and i couldn't really get any kind of even pattern.. so i decided to rather use them on a bag (a DIY studded cotton bag - tutorial upcoming!). so i finished 4 of my 6 high waisted shorts, i just need the american flag one and the distressed one and then, i promise, i'm going to style different outfits and show them all, finally worn, to you!
PS: freakin awesome: i hit the 10,000 visitors today! thank you all so much for reading - that stupid brain slush actually - and commenting - i l♥ve you!

DIY studded iPod case
sometimes i can't even believe how surprising the world is - i found a pack of three iPod silicone cases (actually fitting my 4th generation nano) for unbelievable cheap 10ct at a local store! since i'm not going to waste anything i decided to try studding one of the cases, first i tried some hot glue, but that didn't work, so i did it the classical way, just pushing the spikes through the silicone. and how amazing is the result, huh? - i love it.

DIY braided hex nut bracelet
i recently discovered a pretty awesome website, HONESTLY...WTF, including lot's of DIY-tutorials, some of them, like the DIY braided hex nut bracelet i already tried out and i think they're just beautiful.. and astoundingly cheap. you'd just have to ask your dad for some hex nuts - or even square ones (bracelet on the right) - and all you need to get is some twine, wich isn't very expensive, too. those bracelets are so easily and quick made, you should really try it out and also don't forget to take a look at the website, they've got so many amazing things there..

bone heels.
how can any pair of heels be more awesome than those? never. so it's out of question that i absolutely need to have them. there's only one thing - in shoes - i desire more: a pair of creepers. and i actually already found a pair for 40$ from hongkong, but i'm not sure yet, if i really want to have leopard ones.. they look super cute and actually i have way too much simply black shoes, so.. doesn't matter now, i haven't got any money at the time anyway - at least not 40$ to spend on another pair of shoes..

brain eater.
it's mine - finally. the DROPDEAD brain eater dress. i wanted this for about a year now and then, last week i saw it at impericon.com, for SALE! and nothing in this world could have stopped me from buying it. i love it. <3 and i recognized it's been a wise decision to order a medium, although i usually fit into small or even extra small, but dropdeads clothes are made for anorexic, i guess. doesn't matter, i can't wait to wear it!
creepy.

VANS x Jesse Jo
VANS has, next to volcom, always been one of the cutest skate and streetwear labels, but now they did this new line with jesse jo - i don't really know wo she is, but she's gorgeous and obviously she's got a great sense of fashion - and i nearly freaked out: VANS IS DOING CREEPERS. i. need. them. please, just look at those shoes, i love creepers anyway, the classical ones are super cute but those are absolutely perfect - i'd just change the shoe laces into simple black ones.. there's just one tiny problem, i can't find them anywhere online, but i need them, i need them from the bottom of my heart, i guess i fell in love - irrepealably.

denim jacket.
it's here! my super awesome and super cheap levis - wait. levis again? well, i'm totally into vintage levis stuff obviously.. - denim jacket! really, i couldn't belive that i actually got it for 1 + 4,50€ shipping! so now i can finally start customizing it, i'm definitely going to cut it into a vest and sew something on the back, like here:
spikes would be super awesome, too, but i can't decide if i should order gold or silver ones.. also i'm not really sure what to put on the back, i thought of an old shirt, i have this pretty nice dropdead ones, that don't really fit anymore, but i'm really afraid, because they've been a little bit more expensive and if anything gets wrong i would have ruined them forever.. but on the other side i don't really wear them anymore and i think i would wear the denim jacket like every single day with such a absolutely gorgeous back.. so i don't know..

obsession.
and here are the results of the wonderful denim-dying-day - aren't they super awesome? for the first pair of shorts i simply used black fabric dye, originally it was a mid blue one with lot's of black paint on it, so i kind of hid that now. but i might add some silver studs to finally finish it.. the second pair is my favorite by now, i first dyed it cobalt blue, then, after 30mins i put the top of it out of the dye, so that it won't get a too deep blue and then, after another 30min, i dipped the very bottom of it into my black dye - and it turned out as this waterfallish, super cute pattern! the last pair of shorts is just a deep deep deep cobalt blue, i think i left it in the dye for nearly 2h and, especially on the back, it looks a little bit tie dyed, i don't know why, but it doesn't matter very much, it looks great anyway.. i might add some gold round studs to it, but i'm not sure yet. i think the colours came out extremely good, could be because the blue shorts had been white before and adopted the dye very well.. really, dying is just so much fun, i just love it ♥ it is a bit messy, yeah, but the results are more than worth it!
you can also see my new cozy, knit, warm, black, oversized, elbow patched, wonderful cardigan from the H&M online store, that arrived yesterday - it's just so unbelievably perfect in time - TODAY THERE WAS THE FIRST SNOW. you could guess, i just freaked out - i want to die instantly, please. or move somewhere where snow doesn't even exist in the darkest nightmares of the people living there.

creepers.
you see them a lot on lookbook, fashion blogs and even the runway lately, the lovely and super cute CREEPERS. i have to admit, i fell in love with them, too. and there are so many good things about them, first, nobody here has got a pair of them, i guess i would be the only one, and second i would get at least a little bit, like 4cm or 5cm, taller, wich is quite good for me being just a tiny 1,64m or 5'5" .. i'm really thinking of buying a pair for spring, since i couldn't walk through mountains of snow with them during the upcoming winter now.. hopefully it won't get that cold and long this year, so i can order them earlier - on ebay of course..

studs studs studs.
today a small package from hongkong arrived at my home and really, not even two weeks after ordering my round studs are here, that's awesome! i ordered them on ebay, and whenever you need studs, check out this shop here, you're gonna find a lot and super cheap and fast delivered, golden, silver, pyramid, round and even crystal studs.. i decided to buy the 1000 gold and silver 8mm round studs, where you get 500 of each colour, i think it was just 13€ - shipping included. now my sprayed pyramid studs just need to dry completely and i can stud stud stud just everything i have :D
spray some gold.
while cleaning up my room i found some really ugly studded belts of mine that i wore a lot some years ago - i looked pretty stupid that time, with short hair and a let's say very colorful style.. so now i decided i couldn't just throw them away, since i'm still loving studs, just not colorful ones.. so i decided to buy some spray paint and simply change them into golden and black ones.. well, spray paint is actually very expensive, so i decided to just buy the golden one and just do one colour.. although i left the left ones, the pink studs just as they are because they already have an awesome colour..
.
hopefully the paint is going to stay on the studs but i think they went out really good - well spray painting isn't that difficult though - and i'm excited to use them on my high waisted shorts or whatever..but by now they just have to dry and stop smelling - although i really love the smell of fresh paint.. i don't know.. but it's still nothing you wanted to have in your room for weeks. spray painting is actually really great, i guess, i'm getting into spray painting fever right now, just like everytime i try something new..

i recieved a huge box today and inside there were the four levis high waisted jeans i won in ebay last sunday.. a really fast delivery and i instantly cut all of them into some cute shorts.. well, they're super awesome but still a little bit boring.. so i'm gonna customize them a little bit.. i'm planning on doing american flag shorts, studded and distressed ones, i'm gonna dye the white ones - since i hate white pants.. well, i actually got two so i'm gonna dye one blue and the other one will be either pink and torquoise or pink and purple.. let's see.. i already ordered some studs, round ones in gold and silver - in ebay, too.. they're from hongkong - but i still need some fabric dye and an american flag actually. gosh, i'm so excited, it's going to be so much fun!

nomnom JELLO!
since it's been halloween last night i decided to modify my camera a little bit and turned my white flash into a blue one. all i did was taping some blue foil before it and i think the pictures look very nice, i love the colours and i think i'm gonna try some more flash colours.. i've got some pink and yellow foil at home, too and maybe i can also combine two colours in one.. or even three..
i spent the evening with my friends and we decided to make some bloody jelloshots. some time ago i found some 'how-to-make-yummy-jelloshots' videos while browsing youtube and i really wanted to try it out and they are indeed absolutely delicious and really, whenever you're going to have a party, make some jelloshots! so here's a wonderful
HOW TO MAKE JELLOSHOTS - RECIPE
.
you need: a pack of do-it-yourself jello, for example Dr. Oetker Götterspeise of any flavour, vodka, water, juice (optional)
1 read the instructions on the jello pack, you would eventually have to modify the recipe a little bit.. since i'm using Dr. Oetker and yours could be different..
2 heat up 200ml of water and 200ml of a suitable juice in a pot. (the pack yould suggest 500ml, but we will add the vodka later, since the alcohol would go away if we heated it up) you could for example use raspberry flavoured jello and raspberry juice. make sure it doesn't boil. now mix the powder and 5 big spoons of sugar with the water and the juice until it is completely dissolved
3 wait until the liquid has cooled down a little bit, takes about 15-20min, and then add 100ml of vodka
4 fill it into small shot glasses and wait until they've cooled down a little bit more. then put them into the refridgerator or outside (in winter only)
if you need it faster, put the glasses into the freezer for about 20-30min - that's what we did..
5 take the shots out and they're ready to serve. (you might need some spoons to get the jello out of the glasses..) enjoy!

flea market.
i had a quite awesome day yesterday.. well, it seemed to be a stupid one first, but then i went to munich, first to read some books in the library for my artwork but then i went a little shopping and meet my girls, we went for some sushi and finally arrived at the flea market. it was pretty special - just for girls and started at 7pm - but pretty crowded, too. you couldn't even move inside.. so we decided to search a bar to have some drinks.. and i had one of the most delicious strawberry daiquiries there ever.. nom ♥
i actually found a nice pair of levis high waisted jeans, W28 is perfect for my waist, it's not too tight but as you can see on the picture, they didn't really look very good, the legs are really too big.. so, like i had planned anyway, i cut them into some really cute shorts..
so this is what they look like after cutting.. i really love the colour.. but they have some black paint on the back, so i might either bleach them or dye them completely black.. or i'll just leave them.. i'm also not sure yet if i'd distress them or just leave them as they are.. but i will definitely sew the rolled up part so i don't have to do it again everytime.
i also bought a pair of earrings at the flea market and some halloween earrings and a lace dress in the city.. i think i'll wear both of them for halloween..
.
EDIT: guess what, i just won another FOUR levis high waisted jeans on ebay for just 13€. Ha, i've never won anything before but this is awesome, isn't it? cutting, ripping, dying, studding, flag shorts.. can i have summer again, please?
