midnight bazar

last weekend i went to another midnight bazar here in munich, it was a lot of fun as usual, some of my friends from uni joined me and we had quite a nice evening, eating in a noodle bar before and then searching for some treasures. the sweater on the left isn't from the flea market though, i ordered it at TO BE CLOTHING  since it was on sale, make sure to check them out, they're selling pretty nice stuff! - i also ordered the black beanie, but it wasn't in the package.. well, the other stuff is from the flea market, a grey kind of eqyptian pattern sweater for 2€, gold necklace and bracelet for 5€ together and that cute little tokidoki plastic toy for 1€ - don't wonder, i collect plastic toys and phone charms. well.. now i finally have my holidays until april and i hope i'll get to do some more DIYs, i've got a long long list, i'm sure you can imagine.. so stay tuned!

midnight flea market

already two weeks ago i went to a midnight flea market here in munich, it's not the first time i visited one of them and i really like going to flea markets in the evening, there's always music and you can get yourself some drinks and it's really fun.. well as it always is, you can find amazing stuff on flea markets, and so did i!

flea market

if you follow me on facebook you might have read that i visited a flea market this saturday to sell some of my old stuff.. well i didn't just sell, i also looked around a little bit and found some awesome stuff, as there's always a lot of cool stuff on flea markets!

book 'Schmetterlinge' ('Butterflies') - 1€ // amethyst crystal - 50ct // carhartt white sweater - 2€ // glass head - 1€ // frames - 30ct each // bottle - 1€ // total: 7€

the glass head is one of my favourite finds, i could rather use it to display my beanies or i could turn it into a 'brain-lamp', using some pink LED rope light.. also the sweater's not going to stay white, i'm gonna tie dye or ombre dye it, since i don't really like white.. actually there's a big dying-project coming up, so stay tuned!

flea market haul

 i visted a huge flea market on saturday and this is one of my favourite finds: a 2in1-vintage-bag from a super sweet old lady! i think it's awesome, i've never seen something like that bag before, it looks good in small and big and unfolded you'll have massive storage! - 3€

decoration for my new appartement: blue bottles - 50ct each; medicine bottles - 3€ each!

books: 'Das Universum' (the universe) - 5€; 'Seelenreisen' (journeys of the soul), 'Die UFOs' (the UFOs), 'Mystische Stätten' (mystical places) - all three togehter 1€

clothes: emerald green velvet dress - 4,50€ ; denim jacket - 2€ ; leather jacket (ugly, but i'll cut it up anyway :D ) - 3€ 

DIY studded sweater

after i bought this sweater some months ago at a flea market it pretty much lay around in my DIY-drawer, waiting to get customized. the sweater is originally an american apparel size m, and since their clothes are always very tight i thought it would fit perfectly.. it didn't. so first of all i had to sew it a little bit tighter - never let a big size be a reason not to buy something cool, you can always make it tighter by yourself! - and then i studded it.. i did some kind of star or circle pattern on the shoulders, using cone spikes in the center and smaller round studs around.. so this is pretty easy and i'm thinking of doing this to more of my sweaters, on a denim shirt or jacket or even a blouse. you could also sew on some leather patches on the schoulders or elbows of a sweater, cardigan, jacket... or knees of a leggings or pants and stud them, looks awesome, too! (definitely one of my next projects since i found some leftover black and white leather!)

here it is, a huge haul containing all the treasures i found on saturday, on the fleamarket, in the city and a few things i ordered on ebay lately - awesome, huh?

CITY: blue asymmetric chiffon dress - ZARA (this is what i'm gonna wear to the prom actually..) / baseball shirt - H&M / stud earrings, earring multipack, earcuff - H&M / stupid cat being awfully cute ♥ ♥ ( & trying to be in the center of things as usual..)

FLEAMARKET: levi's high waistet jeans - 3 for 12€ (i confess, i'm obsessed!) / american apparel burgundy velour sweater - 6€ (actually it's a little bit too big, i'm definitely going to sew it a bit tighter at the bottom) / velvet dress - 2€ ( i'm not sure if i would leave the dress like it is or sew it into a velvet skirt, it looks pretty strange on me..) / blue shiny blouse - 2€ / the nanny, season 1,2,3 - 3 for 9€

EBAY: levi's denim jacket - 7,50€ / joy division shirt - 9€ / moustache ring - 1,50€

so as you can guess there are a few DIYs coming up, sadly they have to wait about 4 weeks, the final exams are starting in about two weeks and i really don't have time to do anything but learning or actually drawing for my university-portfolios, well but you can look forward to:

          customized oversize sweater

          velvet skirt and bondeau top from a dress 

          customized levi's cut-off shorts (studding, dying, maybe lace..)

          eventually: bleached and customized levi's denim jacket

i really hope i'll find some time soon -missing DIYing already..

 i love flea markets, vintage stores and secondhand fashion so i can't wait for the hugest flea market of the year in munich on april 21 ♥ ♥ i'm hoping to find a vintage denim jacket, a backpack, some vintage band shirts and jewellery.. going to a flea market is very much like treasure hunting - that's actually why i love it so much! - WTF. blogger ate my post title and won't give it back >.<

flea market.

i had a quite awesome day yesterday.. well, it seemed to be a stupid one first, but then i went to munich, first to read some books in the library for my artwork but then i went a little shopping and meet my girls, we went for some sushi and finally arrived at the flea market. it was pretty special - just for girls and started at 7pm - but pretty crowded, too. you couldn't even move inside.. so we decided to search a bar to have some drinks.. and i had one of the most delicious strawberry daiquiries there ever.. nom ♥

 i actually found a nice pair of levis high waisted jeans, W28 is perfect for my waist, it's not too tight but as you can see on the picture, they didn't really look very good, the legs are really too big.. so, like i had planned anyway, i cut them into some really cute shorts..

so this is what they look like after cutting.. i really love the colour.. but they have some black paint on the back, so i might either bleach them or dye them completely black.. or i'll just leave them.. i'm also not sure yet if i'd distress them or just leave them as they are.. but i will definitely sew the rolled up part so i don't have to do it again everytime.

i also bought a pair of earrings at the flea market and some halloween earrings and a lace dress in the city.. i think i'll wear both of them for halloween..

EDIT: guess what, i just won another FOUR levis high waisted jeans on ebay for just 13€. Ha, i've never won anything before but this is awesome, isn't it? cutting, ripping, dying, studding, flag shorts.. can i have summer again, please?

flea market.

i just came back from my trip to this unbelievably huuuuuuge flea market in munich. it was amazing, i walked around about 5 hrs and didn't see everything! and i got some really nice stuff, flea markets are fantastic! but you really have to search and you have to have a lot of patience and you shouldn't go there searching for someting particular, just walk around and get inspired by all those vintage and old and sometimes a bit damaged things..

2. Bandana - i searched a really long time for a black one actually..
3. Atlas of Mineralogy - to feed my crystal-fascination
4. Polaroid Camera - too bad that they don't produce the film anymore..
5. Rock Crystals - gonna make necklaces out of them
6. Crystal Pendant - crystal again..
